Agrecomm Appraisal Group is an independent real estate appraisal practice serving agricultural, rural, and complex property markets across Southwestern Ontario.
Our team provides data-driven valuation and consulting services with particular expertise in agricultural, rural, small-town, and regional market properties.

Our Founders Story
Our founding partners, Rock Kouwenberg and Jordan Russell, created the Agrecomm Appraisal Group with a mutual vision of creating advanced analytical data systems and processes that provide reliable insights and conclusions for clients.
Rock and Jordan met at the University of Guelph. Together they successfully gained their Bachelors of Commerce with a specialization in Real Estate and Housing. The undergraduate program is one of the few in Canada that specialize in the real estate sector, taking a multi-disciplinary approach to the study of residential and commercial real estates. As a result, they gained unique perspectives on real estate and valuations trends that assist in serving their clients in the most efficient manner possible.
Both Rock and Jordan furthered their education and went on to complete a Post-Graduate Certificate in Real Property Valuation (PGCV) at the University of British Columbia, Sauder School of Business. After years of mentorship, the successful completion of the AACI program of studies and fulfilling the professional requirements of the Appraisal Institute of Canada, both are now designated AACI members. AACI Members are qualified to offer valuation and consulting services and expertise for all types of real property.
Rock and Jordan consistently instil a high commitment to business ethics and personal integrity in their team of appraisers and qualified supporting staff. As a result, the Agrecomm Appraisal Group maintains its enviable reputation of complete research and accurate analysis in order to provide sound, market based appraisals which aid in both litigation and personal decisions involving agricultural, commercial, industrial and residential properties throughout Southwestern Ontario.

Meet Our Team
Rock Kouwenberg
AACI, P. App
Rock Kouwenberg is a professional Real Estate Appraiser who has worked in the Southwestern Ontario Region since 2012.
Rock Kouwenberg is an owner and founding partner of Agrecomm Appraisal Group. He excels at providing real estate valuations and consulting services across Southwestern Ontario. While his primary focus is on agricultural and agri-business property appraisals, he is also highly experienced in the appraisal of commercial, industrial, residential, and special-use properties across Southwestern Ontario.
Rock has completed appraisals on most property types within the agricultural industry, including cash crop farms, intensive livestock operations (poultry, dairy, swine, beef etc.), as well greenhouse operations. Rock has been an Appraisal Institute of Canada member since 2011. He is currently the President of the American Society of Farm Managers & Rural Appraisers (ASFMRA).
Rock is originally from the Strathroy area and was raised on a hog farm. Rock and his entire family are still involved in farming operations today. In addition to his affinity for agriculture, Rock is also a real estate investor. His first-hand experience with owning and managing rental properties has helped him to better understand client needs, especially the importance of punctuality and communication by appraisers to investors and the lending community. Rock also brings years of experience in construction to Agrecomm.
Overall, his attention to detail, knowledge, and commitment to hard work has attributed to his success. Rock co-founded Agrecomm to deliver high-quality appraisal reports with quick turnaround times, combined with transparent communication.
Jordan Russell
AACI, P. App
Jordan Russell is a professional AACI-designated Real Estate Appraiser who has worked throughout Southwestern Ontario since 2013.
Jordan’s professional experience spans a broad range of property types, including agricultural, rural residential, commercial, industrial, multi-family residential, vacant land, and special-use real estate properties. His background as a licensed Realtor and business owner provides direct insight into market behaviour and transactional dynamics, strengthening the reliability of his appraisal conclusions.
Jordan is actively involved in the valuation and final review of complex and non-standard appraisal assignments, with particular emphasis on agricultural, rural, and special-use properties common in small-town and regional markets. His approach emphasizes data verification, standardized processes, and clear reasoning to ensure each appraisal is well-supported, consistent, and defensible.
As a property owner and real estate investor, Jordan brings firsthand insight into the expectations of lenders, purchasers, and other stakeholders. This perspective influenced the establishment of the Agrecomm Appraisal Group, with a focus on delivering well-supported appraisal reports paired with clear, transparent communication throughout the assignment process.
Jordan’s connection to agriculture is personal as well as professional. On his mother’s side, his family has deep roots in the farming community. His grandfather is a sixth-generation Canadian farmer with more than 65 years of farming experience, and many family members remain actively involved in agriculture today. This background contributes to Jordan’s practical understanding of farm operations, rural land use, and the realities faced by agricultural property owners.
Jordan is a member of the Canadian Real Estate Association, Ontario Real Estate Association, Toronto Regional Real Estate Board, Ontario Collective, Ontario Regional Technology & Information System (ORTIS), and the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers (ASFMRA).

These members are qualified to undertake any valuation and consulting assignment on residential, commercial, institutional, agricultural, land, and special use property types.
CRA
These are members qualified to undertake any valuation and consulting assignment on dwellings containing not more than four self-contained family housing units or on individual undeveloped residential dwelling sites.

The Appraisal Institute of Canada (AIC) is Canada’s leading real property valuation association. These members are highly trained and qualified to offer valuable advice on matters pertaining to properties and ownership.
The members offer advice based on their experiences, market analysis, and comprehensive research. This is critical to any property owner, government, investor, or business in making decisions related to property acquisition, investment, litigation and any other relevant field.
The AIC is an independent institute whose advice offers a third party opinion. They do not promote property, but offer guidance as to whether a predetermined investment is appropriate or not, using credible information.
The members work in line with a well-defined code of conduct (CUSPAP) that outlines how they should conduct themselves in a professional manner and deliver according to client requirements.
